2011 in review!
2011. was. AMAZING. I cannot wait to see what 2012 has in store…

Here’s a look back on some events of 2011 for me! Happy 2012 to ALL!
My Father-in-Law
I consider myself extremely lucky to have such a wonderful man as my father-in-law. I admire his strength, courage and above all his sense of humor, especially in hard and crazy times. (Which we’ve had our fair share of!)
This shot was taken at a little birthday gathering Jody and I had at our place – he was actually checking out his Kobo reader we got him as a present. I just really loved how the light was on him from our living room window.
Practicing on the hubster
Epic photo for an epic husband. Although he’s sick, he cheers me up when I’m feeling down. He boosts my ego when it needs boosting. And he stands in front of hot work lights so I can take this photo! His rating: AWESOME.
The setup: my living room curtains as a backdrop, continuous light source on the bottom right from a work light (maybe next time I’ll try rim lighting too?), and my huge reflector on the silver side bouncing the light from the left.
Also tried a little David Hill kinda post-processing. Just really sharpened up the image.
I’m still learning, but at least I can torture the hubby in order to do so at anytime!
